As a concept, the first Buddies were developed in 2001 by the companies' Research and Development test kitchen in The Netherlands. In the following years there has been an evolution of Buddies, and we arrive to how they are made and appreciated by its consumers today. Now the company has Buddies Production and Buddies Quality Assurance in its new facilities in The Netherlands as well as in the USA.

Genuine Dutch Inc. has been a leader in the snack food industry by developing and adopting new technologies. And it continues to experience momentum and benefits from multifaceted synergies, whether through joint ventures, franchising opportunities or other aspects of our expansion plans.

Constant interaction with its consumers has driven menu innovation. And that innovation has resulted in consistent quality within a growing line of diverse products.

The business model used by Genuine Dutch is proven through increasing sales in European and American markets, increasing average net sales from our vendor booths, and overall continued unit growth, as well as growing our brand.

For more than 10 years, the company has quietly and methodically been building Buddies based on these actions and philosophies. Today we are proud to offer a grilled prime meat sausage wrapped in golden brown baked Buddies dough that is perfect for a snack or light meal option. And the lil’ Buddies with apple/pear filling is a great sweet dessert snack.
